Losing Your Best Friend

I haven't actually physically lost a best friend, which probably would have felt better. It was worse: over a complete and total misunderstanding.

I won't go into detail. Obviously it's nun ya, but it's been one of the worst feelings in my life. Still to this day.

Who is the first person you think of to tell something? Anything? Maybe you got a new StitchFix outfit and you want to share, or complain about someone or something?

You think of your best friend.

The person who knows everything about you and your life. The person you've been friends with for over a decade or two.

And then, one day. Nothing. You don't have your best friend to lean on when something goes wrong. And you miss them every day.

They say time heals all wounds, though.

There comes a time where you just have to accept it. Forgive yourself or the other person and move on.

Meet new friends. Make new memories. Love what you've got right now.

Life is too short not to enjoy it.
